There is part of my daily Reiki practice which involves a self-treatment in which instead of laying the hands in various positions I sit with my palms face down in my lap and direct the energy to specific areas of the head.
This discipline is a masterclass in focus and allowing … intensity and letting go …
Today, when I practiced this, in my mind’s eye I saw Mother Mary and Sekhmet on either side of me.
The last position is to focus energy on the crown and then let the energy flow.
When I felt the focus I sensed Sekhmet … and when I allowed the energy to flow I sensed Mother Mary.
Two very different aspects of the One Divine Feminine … both working together to direct the energy and allow it to flow ..
Mother Mary had spoken in her message about how focus can burn with its intensity … however when coupled with an allowing of the energy to flow the result is extremely potent.
A couple of weeks ago I received a message from Sekhmet along with the illustration of the violet and the cat … this inner focus along with the merging and blurring of boundaries.. an intensity and a softness at the same time.
This feeling of having these two distinct feminine energies is still with me… merged together as One.
OMG, Matariki, it is an incredible synchronicity. I have never thought of Sekhmet as a cat. Do you know that the root part of my family name means “cat”?

What I felt was also interesting is that I have had two experiences with the energy of Sekhmet recently. I wrote about it a while ago – Sekhmet and the Temple Garden.
The first thing she showed me was a violet – Violets do not shrink .. in which she spoke of inner focus.
The second thing which happened the other day was when I had a huge rose appear in my solar plexus area ( I had felt a burning sensation there ever since I had visited the Temple Garden and had that experience with Sekhmet) and then a few things after that which were all connected with roses.
One of the things which struck me was your name – Violet Rose… and of course now your cat connection too …

Incredibly interesting. I had that heat in the solar plexus too. And I was shown that I can balance Fire and Water in my body by focusing my mind and concentrating on the experiences I want to bring into my life. And… yesterday I bought Sabon douche oil called “Violet” and 11 roses (normally you get 10, I was surprised when I brought them home). They are looking at me now….
Synchronicity abound. Exciting times…..

Yes.. I am being led to praciticing more inner focus too.
Tomorrow evening I have my first Tai Chi class… which is supposed to be great for maintaining focus, balance and strength along with fluidity of movement … we shall see!

And I am going to do some Qi Gong on regular basis. I have no teacher yet unfortunately but I have some books. I was told that it will be good for me.
