Merlin & Stobo Kirk

In keeping with the recent `Church theme’ yesterday we were up in and around Stobo where I thought I would have another wee look at the `Alterstone’ … a very large stone with a flat surface which is said to be the place where Merlin was `baptised.’

My husband wandered off for a walk in the nearby woods while I placed my hands of the stone to see what the energy felt like.

There was quite a lot of energy and my hands were beginning to grow quite hot when I was distracted by what sounded like someone walking through the woods directly behind where I was standing with the stone. I opened my eyes … and was just about to give my husband a `telling off’ for disturbing me ( :-) ) when I saw that nobody was there.

I was left feeling slightly disoriented and queasy … as can be the way when I feel a lot of energy and disconnect from it really quickly.

When I saw my husband again and realised where the path would’ve led him we could see that there was no way that he was anywhere near where I had been … so I do not know who or what I had heard making their way towards me … the twigs breaking under foot as they approached…

Anyway … I was guided then to go and take a look at Stobo Kirk ( Kirk is the Scots word for Church) where there is a stain glass window depicting this `baptism of Merlin’ .

It was interesting …and rather telling… that the first thing one sees on approaching this church is an implement of `punishment’ known as the Jougs which were used to place around an `offender’s’ neck and fastened with a padlock. It is a type of iron collar which is fastened by a short chain to a wall … often of the parish church as in this case.

Yes…. what a welcoming sight to behold!

Imagine turning up here and seeing them every Sunday …

Anyway … we went inside and saw this stained glass window depicting a kneeling Merlin and `St Mungo’ or `Kentigern’ with his hand raised … supposedly `blessing’ him.

The image of him kneeling in front of the priest …. similar to those feelings which came back last week for me … kneeling in front of the priest … then going to pieces when theMonseigneur placed his hand upon my head. Interesting that I was guided to come to see that after unearthing those memories recently.

This image of Merlin kneeling before the priest does not sit well with me at all.

It looks very much like a set up … a little like those `jougs’ on the wall outside. The picture of the pagan being baptised … no … I don’t buy it at all. It seems like yet another way of keeping people in line … by presenting this kind of story. It does not ring true that someone like Merlin would be baptised … unless he was coerced into doing so..

There is another stained glass window my husband pointed out – the Knight’s Templar cross which is the same area as this `Merlin’ window … the floor is black and white as well which is also a well know masonic sign. The window directly opposite the Merlin window is a stained glass depicting a burning bush.

The Burning Bush is of great importance in Masonic ritual, especially for the 33rd degree, whose members are considered to be “near the Burning Bush.”

Many, many signs and symbols

I found this video which depicts the Alterstone and Stobo Kirk.

Yes … it is interesting in view of the memories which resurfaced last week around me and the church and then being guided to Stobo yesterday. To see Merlin kneeling like that affected me …
Regarding what or who I heard … I do not know … only that there was a hot energy around. Yes… come to think of it I was just saying to someone the other day that I have been hearing footsteps up and down the stairs at night … only everyone else is in bed asleep …there has been a bit of energetic activity lately.
All last night I heard `look at the burning bush’ which is the window directly opposite the Merlin window… so this morning I looked up the symbolism for it …which corresponds with the other symbols placed around the Merlin window.
I do feel a strong connection to Merlin … most especially since I had that encounter out in NZ.

Hi Matariki, I don’t believe that Merlin was baptised at all – why would he have discarded the inner power he had found through nature? It makes no sense to me at all. Did you notice the skull and bones on the gravestones in the video? It’s well known to be a sign pirates/early masons used and also the illuminati. So I think you’re right…..it’s just another scam to make people believe that even the great Merlin was converted to their religion. More likely they pursued and killed him, like they pursued and massacred the Druids.

Yes … we saw them .. my husband was busy pointing out all the symbolism while we were there. It was later that I found out about the burning bush being another symbol too.
I feel that this is a definite scam … and even read some account about Merlin being killed by `angry pagans’ – good grief.
No .. I do not see Merlin kneeling before any priest either…and certainly not being baptised.
    Hugs
