To follow on from the post the other day regarding Names and their energy … Gabrielle kindly looked into the numerology for my names and also my life path number which uses my date of birth.
I thought I would share it here as it is an illustration of the numerical energy which is associated with our names.
The energy of a name is important. Our birth names are our given names … sometimes we then take on a chosen name.
Matariki came to me at a time when I was leaving my old world behind. My past is quite literally another country. At the time when Matariki appeared I left it all behind … everything … including where I was born and the people I knew as my birth family.
It is no coincidence to find that the energy of Matariki brings the energy of new beginnings through initiation.

First my birth name:
59 55 = 24 = 6…….emotion, love
EILEEN = 32 = 5…….communication, change
3 5 = 8…………..initiation, authority
You communicate with authority, which helps you to connect with your own emotions and through this communication, you bring about change, not only in yourself, but in others as well. The main goal of your communications is to open yourself and others to love.
15-4-1966
1+5=6…….this is your drive, what gets you going, what you aim for………6= emotions, love
15+4=19=10…….this is the first number of your life path……..10= leadership, individuality, new beginnings
1966……1+9+6+6= 22…….this is the second number of your life path, and a Master Number.
22 is the number for the Master Builders, those who in previous incarnations have achieved balance in relation to the emotions. They are persistant and determined, and will experience many trials and tests along the way. In this life, they attempt to demonstrate that nothing is impossible, as long as one keeps the focus on the job at hand. They are unselfish, self confident, practical visionaries and natural leaders.
And Matariki:
1 1 9 9 = 20………..flexibility, adaptability (strengthened by the 0)
MATARIKI = 37 =10…..leadership, individuality, new beginnings (strenghtened by the 0)
4 2 9 2 = 17 = 8……initiation, authority
The vowels (top line) are added up and the consonants (bottom line) are added up to give the full number for the name.
As you can see, the numbers are then added up, i.e. 37=3+7=10 , to give the final number.
So the main number is 10, which stands for strong leadership, individuality and new beginnings.
The numbers 20 and 8 give more information of the kind of leadership the energy of the name brings.
The name brings the energy of new beginnings through initiation, and leadership because the person has authority (in this case).
This is a leader that is very flexible and adaptable, abilities which any good leader should have, making their leadership very successful, and well balanced. (a leader who didn’t have such a positive combination of numbers could be a tyrant for instance)
As it’s a chosen name, and not your given name, the energy of Matariki will only ‘overlay’ the energy of your given name, which will still be there, as this is the energy you were born with, but a name like Matariki can empower you if the energy of your given name is not as strong.
Your name is considered the ‘vehicle’ that you use in this life, to follow your life path.
Your life path is deduced from your date of birth.
With the 10 and 22 as life path numbers, you are a strong natural leader, who is here to lead others by example, with integrity and vision, towards new beginnings and a world focused on love.
My birthday is Dec 15 1966…. 12/15/1966… almost the same as your’s, matariki!
Except 15+12 = 9 for the first number of life path. not sure what that means, but i like 9s. 
my best friend in Holland is Dec 15 1947. his master number is 21. i wonder what that means? if 22 is master builder, 21 must be close by in meaning.
I know the meaning of my soul/spirit name, Sa Eck Ra (not in number, though). I guess I can guess. *v* …(i like that it overlays the birth name)… As for birth name, I guess I forgot about that being numerical…. I know that our birth name is given to us for a reason. Maybe it is true? Eileen means light. That is a nice one. Darlene means little loved one. is an offshoot of another name…i can tell you are a leader, matariki, as you are helping so many with this blog!
That is interesting Treefairie … I am not that sure about the numbers regarding your birth date etc … however Gabrielle may be able to help you there.
Your soul name is interesting … what is the meaning of Sa Eck Ra … Sa … is a healing sound isn’t it … and Ra is the sun … what is the Eck for…?
Yes.. Eileen does mean light and this name is so very different to my other siblings names so in this way I know that my parents saw this `difference’ .. also the Irish connection sits well with me. However … Matariki appeared when the Pleiadian energy first appeared .. and it was a gift from the stars .. which I was/am happy to receive.. at such a pivotal time.

hi matariki…. the meaning of Sa Eck Ra… when i was given it last spring (March 2011) (sort of whispered in my ear one morning when i was meditating in the sun)… i did not know what it meant at first, but bit by bit, i found out…. the Ra was first (yes, the sun… i love that one). then, i learned about the solar angel and thought, hmm. that sounds nice for Sa. but then, later i found out Sa is infinity from the Ra Ma Da Sa mantra song… so, for me, it is both of those.
and then, Eck.. i heard from my friend in Finland that if you say “Eck Eck Eck” (in essence, Eck three times), your wish will come true, so I guess it means I have that in me to grant wishes (at least to me), somehow, which is nice, too!! (i would like to be a fairy god mother.. that would be fun!! …. it would be cool to know about the meaning of 9 in a life path, too. 
… i like the pleidies.. my stars are vega and sirius, too, it seems (they speak). ((hugs))

To answer some of tree faerie’s questions: the number 9 is the number for service to others.
Just to clarify, Master numbers are double numbers like 22, 33, 44 etc. In your case you have the numbers 9 and 22, so service to others and leadership as explained above. Sa Eck Ra also comes to 22, which makes perfect sense and suits you very well. Your friend’s numbers are 9 and 21, which would be added up, as Master numbers are the only ones which are not. So his number would be 30, which is strongly creative.
As I told Matariki, I’m not an expert at this, but was taught the basics by someone who is.

it gave me a good confirmation on my current life path ….the 22 master number is a comfort of what can be, in addition to the other things….(((hugs)))
